Product Overview

If you live or work in a rural area, you know how tough it can be to get a reliable cell signal. The weBoost 200 Signal Booster is built specifically for homes, farms, and businesses in remote locations. It uses a powerful LPDA directional antenna to grab weak signals from far-away towers and amplify them inside, so you can stay connected when it matters most.

Key Benefits

  • High-Gain LPDA Antenna: This directional antenna is perfect for rural areas. It has a focused beam that locks onto signals from distant cell towers.
  • Expansive Coverage: Provides coverage for areas up to 20,000 sq. ft., depending on the strength of your outside signal.
  • Rural-Optimized Design: Handles challenging environments with poor signal quality, giving you dependable coverage.
  • Multi-Device and Carrier Support: Works with phones, tablets, hotspots, and more, across all major U.S. carriers.
  • Future-Proof Technology: Supports 4G LTE, 5G-ready bands, and all FCC-approved frequencies.
  • Durable and Weather-Resistant: Built to last with rugged, weather-resistant components that can handle tough outdoor conditions.
  • Advanced Monitoring: The LCD screen shows real-time performance updates and makes troubleshooting easy.

Who This Booster Is Perfect For

The weBoost 200 is ideal for anyone living or working in rural areas where cell signal is a constant challenge. Whether you’re managing a farm, running a small business, or working from home, this booster can make all the difference.

Here are some great uses for the weBoost 200:

  • Rural Homes: Get reliable coverage for calls, texts, and data throughout your house, no matter how remote.
  • Farms and Ranches: Stay connected across large properties to support daily tasks and emergencies.
  • Small Rural Businesses: Keep your team and customers connected in offices, workshops, or retail spaces.
  • Remote Workspaces: Enjoy dependable video calls, emails, and online tasks for home-based work in rural areas.

Antenna Options

Inside Antenna Options

The right number of inside antennas depends on how large the space is and how many walls or other obstacles are in the space. In general, we recommend one antenna for every 750 to 1,500 sq ft in a normal home and every 1,500 to 2,500 sq ft in more open spaces like offices with cubicles.

The Wilson Office 200 kit is available with three types of inside antennas:

Panel Antenna

Panel antennas are a type of directional indoor antenna. They can be mounted to a wall or to a ceiling. The signal comes out the front of the antenna so it must be mounted in a place where it is aimed at the area where you need coverage. A short pigtail cable comes out of the bottom of the antenna, so you do not need access to behind a wall or ceiling to install a panel antenna.

In multi-story homes, panel antennas can be located in the attic pointing down to cover the floors below without any part of the system being visible.

The panel antenna has an average gain of 7 dBi on the low frequencies and 10 dBi on the high frequencies. This makes it more powerful than the dome antennas, but that is because it is a directional antenna, so it sends all of its signal in one direction instead of all directions.

Standard Dome Antenna

A standard dome antenna mounts to the ceiling and covers in all directions around the antenna. A dome antenna must be installed horizontally, it cannot be mounted vertically to a wall. When using a dome antenna, you must be able to run cables on the backside of the ceiling, so it works best below an attic or in commercial spaces with ceiling tiles.

Standard domes work well in single story homes and offices where you have access to the backside of the ceiling to run cables and make connections.

The standard dome has an average gain of 2 dBi on the low frequencies and 5 dBi on the high frequencies.

Ultra-Thin Dome Antenna

The ultra-thin dome antenna is a very low profile version of the standard dome antenna. The ultra thin dome mounts to the ceiling and covers in all directions around the antenna. A dome antenna must be installed horizontally and cannot be mounted vertically to a wall. When using a dome antenna, you must be able to run cables on the backside of the ceiling, so it works best below an attic or in commercial spaces with ceiling tiles.

Ultra thin domes work well in situations where aesthetics are important but they also are more powerful to give you a larger coverage area. They are significantly less noticeable than the standard dome once installed.

The ultra thin dome has an average gain of 4 dBi on the low frequencies and 6 dBi on the high frequencies.

Coverage Area & Supported Carriers

The total coverage area depends on several factors, including your outside signal strength, building materials, and layout. This booster supports all major U.S. carriers and many smaller providers that use their networks. Use the guide below to estimate potential indoor coverage and verify carrier compatibility.

Estimated Coverage Based on Outside Signal Strength

  • Excellent Outside Signal (5 Bars): Up to 20,000 sq. ft. indoors (may require multiple inside antennas).
  • Good Outside Signal (3-4 Bars, -90 dB): Up to 5,000 sq. ft. indoors, depending on building materials and layout.
  • Weak Outside Signal (1-2 Bars, -100 dB): Up to 2,000 sq. ft. indoors, depending on structural and environmental factors.

Actual coverage depends on factors like outside signal strength, obstacles such as trees and buildings, construction materials, and the layout of your space. If you're uncertain whether this system will work for you, contact us for expert assistance.

Supported Carriers

  • Major U.S. Carriers: Verizon Wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile, UScellular
  • Smaller Providers: Many smaller carriers, called MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators), use the same towers as major carriers. This means your service is supported as long as your provider operates on one of these networks.

Important Note: This booster only works with U.S.-based carriers and is not compatible with European or Asian carriers due to different frequency bands.

Installation Overview

Depending on the complexity of your building and the configuration of antennas that you chose, installing the weBoost Office 200 can be easy or fairly challenging. Fortunately, our team is here to help you with anything you need.

Here is a brief overview of how to install the components of the system:

  • Mount the Outside Antenna: Install the antenna in the location with the strongest signal, typically on the roof or an exterior wall. For directional antennas like Yagi or LPDA, aim the antenna toward the nearest cell tower.
  • Install the Lightning Protector: Attach the outside antenna cable to the lightning protector and ground it properly to safeguard the system from electrical surges.
  • Run Cables to the Amplifier: Use the included 400 Series cables to connect the outside antenna to the amplifier, ensuring secure and weather-resistant connections.
  • Mount the Inside Antenna(s): Place inside antennas where coverage is needed most, such as ceilings or walls. Use multiple antennas for large or multi-room spaces.
  • Connect and Power On: Link all components, plug in the amplifier, and check the LCD screen for real-time performance updates and troubleshooting tips.

We recommend working with our expert team for large or complex setups to design the right solution and help you optimize your system.
